Lake Mary Church — Pastoral Internship
Eric Dobbs
We’re the Dobbs Family—Eric, Tracey, and our son Cru. We’re honored to be a family that serves God, loves our neighbors, and makes disciples for Jesus. In 2018, we moved to Florida for Tracey to complete a post-graduate residency in Clinical Pharmacy. Eric was a career Firefighter and began serving at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. In 2021, we began attending Lake Mary Church, joined a small group, and started our Biblical Foundations journey.
In 2023, Eric and twelve others unexpectedly lost their jobs at the fire station due to downsizing. But God used that moment to open doors into ministry. Eric began preaching the gospel in jails and prisons, witnessing incredible transformation as the Holy Spirit moved in powerful ways. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow through hosting small groups, evangelizing in our community, discipling others, and serving in our local church.
In early 2025, Eric answered the call to pursue full-time ministry through a pastoral internship with Lake Mary Church. He’s now on the path toward becoming a pastor with hopes to plant and lead a church in Central Florida. We’re excited to reach our community and build Jesus’ church—and we’re grateful for your support in this calling.
