About Us.

Lake Mary Church was birthed from a vision to Honor God, Love Life, and Make Disciples. Starting in 2010 in the Performing Arts Building at Lake Mary High School, our journey over the past decade has been marked by God’s faithfulness in every aspect. Today, we celebrate four Sunday services, three Student Services, and over 70 Life Groups gathering weekly.

⸻ Our Beliefs

We believe in a thing called love.

We hold dear the belief in God as the Creator and Ruler of the universe, and we treasure the Bible as His living Word to us. Our faith revolves around Jesus Christ, whom we recognize as the Son of God. Through His death and resurrection, we find the promise of eternal life, freely offered to us when we repent of our sins and accept God’s gracious gift of Salvation.

⸻ Our Mission

Our Story

Humble Beginings

Lake Mary Church was birthed with one vision in mind - to make disciples in Lake Mary, FL. With our first service on Easter Sunday in the Lake Mary High School Auditorium, hundreds of hours of prayer and preparation went into these humble beginnings.

2010
We Moved

On Thanksgiving Day in 2011, the whole
team had Thanksgiving dinner together and then packed one, small U-Haul with everything we owned and moved into the Charisma Media Building in the heart of Lake Mary.

2011
First Missions Trip

As LMC continued to grow with over 400 attendees, we ventured on our first Baja Missions Trip with a team of 10. As our campus ministry started to expand, we acquired the second-floor suite in the warehouse and turned it into the Student Center.

2014
We Got Bigger

After five years of establishing foundations, 2016 was the year we officially introduced Equip and Empower to complete our Discipleship Journey. As we continued to grow, we launched our fourth service and God provided a 26-passenger bus!

2016
Building Owners!

After reaching over 1,000 regular attendees, 2018 proved to be a monumental year as we experienced the incredible provision of the Lord when he entrusted us with the building and property as we became building owners!

2018
The Nehemiah Project

This was the year of transformation. Our Church came together and transformed the property that God blessed us with to be suitable for a church of our size. The Nehemiah Project involved over 300 servant leaders who voluntarily worked around the clock to renovate the first floor of our new building.

Meet The Team

Shaddy Soliman

Lead Pastor

Pastor Shaddy Soliman arrived in the United States at 19 on a soccer scholarship, unaware of the ministry journey that awaited him. Yet, as the call of the Lord became undeniable, he embraced it wholeheartedly. Pastor Shaddy and Amy’s paths intertwined on their college campus, where God ignited a profound and transformative journey in both of their lives.

Our Beliefs

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.

He has eternally existed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are coequal and are one God.

  • Genesis 1:1,26,27
  • Genesis 3:22
  • Psalms 90:2
  • Matthew 28:19
  • 1 Peter 1:2
  • 2 Corinthians 13:14

The Bible is God’s Word to us.

The Bible was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16
  • 2 Timothy 1:13
  • 2 Peter 119:105,160
  • Psalm 12:6
  • Proverbs 30:5

People are the supreme object of God’s creation.

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character.
Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life.

  • Genesis 1:27
  • Psalms 8:3-6
  • Isaiah 53:6
  • Romans 3:23
  • Isaiah 59:1-2

Jesus is the Son of God.

He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.

  • Matthew 1:22,23
  • Isaiah 9:6
  • John 1:1-5
  • John 14:10-30
  • Hebrews 4:14-15
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
  • Romans 1:3-4
  • Acts 1:9-11
  • 1 TImothy 6:14-15
  • Titus 2:13

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it.

We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

  • Romans 6:23
  • Ephesians 2:8-9
  • John 14:6, 1:2
  • Titus 3:5
  • Galatians 3:26
  • Romans 5:1
  • Romans 10:9-10

Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness.”

  • Matthew 3:16-17
  • Matthew 28:18-20
  • Acts 2:41, 8:12

The Holy Spirit lives in the believers.

The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are baptized in the Spirit. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

  • John 16:7-13
  • John 14:16-17
  • Acts 1:5
  • Acts 1:8
  • 1 Corinthians 12
  • Ephesians 5:18

People will exist eternally with or without God.

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated fromGod by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

  • John 3:16, 4:17
  • Romans 6:23
  • Romans 8:17-18
  • Revelations 20:15
  • 1 Corinthians 2:7-9

Core Values

Lordship: We Value Obedience

Because Jesus is “King of kings and Lord of lords,” we believe that wholehearted submission to God’s will and His Word is the starting point of the Christian faith and the foundation of all spiritual growth. (Colossians 2:6)

Evangelism: We Value Lost People

Because God’s heart is to reach the lost, we seek to build churches primarily through evangelism, not transfer; through birth, not adoption. (John 3:16; Luke 19:10)

Discipleship: We Value Spiritual Growth

Because we are called to make disciples, our primary focus is ministering to people, not conducting meetings, facilitating programs, or building buildings. (Matthew 28:19,20)

Leadership: We Value Leadership Development

Because we are called to develop future leaders who will serve in the church and in the community, we prioritize leadership development. We do this by deliberately creating opportunities for young potential leaders to develop their gifts, and empowering them through identification, instruction, impartation, and internship. (2 Timothy 2:2)

Family: We Value Long Term Relationships

Because the family is the foundation and validation of ministry, we refuse to sacrifice our marriages and our children on the altars of temporal success. And because we believe God has called us to be a spiritual family, we embrace community, reject the idea of disposable relationships, and choose to walk in love, respect, and unity. (Psalm 127:1,3; Ephesians 4:3)
